The HYPONIC story began in 2013, when our founder, JB Kang, lost Woongja, his loyal companion. When he discovered that the ingredients in the shampoo used for Woongja were linked to various health problems, including skin cancer, JB Kang was deeply distressed. This experience spurred him to action: to create a natural and safe shampoo for animals that meets the rigorous standards of the Korean cosmetics industry dedicated to humans.
Did you know that a dog can be exposed to almost 250 hours of shampoo use in its lifetime? These hours can prove toxic if the products contain harmful substances. Determined to prevent such suffering, JB Kang devoted years to research and collaborated with Korea's top cosmetics manufacturers. The result is HYPONIC, Korea's first hypoallergenic and non-toxic pet care brand.
